RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming man has pleaded not guilty in connection to the death of his infant child.

Pete Archuleta, 32, on Monday pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, child endangerment, and possession of a controlled substance.

The charges stem from the July 31 death of Archuleta's child. Police were called to a gas station for the report of a baby not breathing.

The infant has been in the care of its mother, Meagan Lubbers, and suffered breathing problems as a result of Lubbers' drug use during her pregnancy. Archuleta told police he found the baby face down on the ground and drove the child to the gas station to get help.

Lubbers pleaded guilty in November to involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death.
