HIS 911 CALL WASN'T A HIT

An Illinois man found himself behind bars after calling 911 to report a fight - one he wanted to have with a police officer.

John Pacella dialed the emergency number to say he needed to have cops sent to his address because he wanted to fight them. The dispatcher, eager to keep a citizen happy, obliged and sent a pair of deputies to Pacella's place, leading him to immediately start flailing at them.

The 38-year-old remains behind bars, charged with aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, and battery with intent to provoke or insult.

A DENTAL BREAKDOWN

A Massachusetts dentist is about to get a big chunk bitten out of his bank account after it was discovered that he used paper clips instead of sterilized metal posts to complete root canals.

Michael Clair defrauded Medicaid of more than $130,000 through his scam-laden office, where he illegally prescribed drugs and caused numerous patients to suffer infections due to corner-cutting efforts like using office supplies instead of medical ones.

Sounds like he was one wisdom tooth short.

THIS FLIGHT HAS GONE TO POT

A Los Angeles man is facing a number of charges after he tried to join a different sort of mile high club -- by firing up a marijuana pipe on a commercial jet.

Adam Blumenkranz was on a JetBlue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Newark, New Jersey, when he aroused flight crew suspicions by dropping a Ziploc bag with an odd substance inside. He picked up his parcel and retreated to the bathroom, where a "strong odor of marijuana" began seeping through the door.

The crew notified authorities, who arrested Blumenkranz upon arrival. He said he had done nothing wrong, since he had a medical marijuana card in his possession.
