Scott Coleman Enters Not Guilty Plea for Deadly Downtown Casper Crash Charges

A Casper man accused of killing another man with his vehicle before crashing into the Goodstein building has entered his plea in court.



38-year old Scott Coleman of Casper has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness to charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated assault, property damage and possession of marijuana.

The charges come from an incident back on May 3rd, where police say Coleman lead officers on a high speed pursuit through Casper before striking and killing 18-year old Jeremy Webb and then crashing his vehicle into the Goodstein building in Downtown Casper.

A judge has ordered a mental evaluation at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston.

Coleman’s trial is scheduled to begin in November but it could be delayed pending the evaluation.

If convicted, he could face up to 50 years in prison.

He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
