COLD FRONT TO PRODUCE STRONG WINDS ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA ON
SUNDAY...

A STRONG...FAST MOVING COLD FRONT WILL ENTER NORTHERN WYOMING
SUNDAY MORNING AND THEN SWEEP QUICKLY SOUTH AND EAST THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. AHEAD OF THE FRONT...STRONG WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP IN MANY AREAS. BEHIND THE COLD FRONT...STRONG AND GUSTY NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS WILL PREVAIL. MANY LOCATIONS WILL SEE WIND SPEEDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH WHILE THE
WINDIER SPOTS SEE WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 50 MPH.
EVEN STRONGER WINDS GUSTS WILL OCCUR IN THE HIGHER MOUNTAINS AND SOME FOOTHILL LOCATIONS SUCH AS THE LEE OF THE ABSAROKA AND WIND RIVER MOUNTAINS.

TRAVELERS AND OTHERS WITH OUTDOOR INTERESTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR
STRONG WINDS ON SUNDAY WITH FALLING TEMPERATURES BEHIND THE FRONT.
RESIDENTS MAY ALSO WANT TO SECURE ANY LOOSE OUTDOOR ITEMS THAT
COULD BLOW AROUND IN STRONG WINDS. VERY LITTLE IF ANY
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED WITH THIS COLD FRONT EXCEPT FOR A FEW
SHOWERS IN THE NORTHERN BORDER AREAS. THE MAIN WEATHER WITH THIS
COLD FRONT WILL BE THE STRONG WIND POTENTIAL AND FALLING
TEMPERATURES. TEMPERATURES WILL BE CONSIDERABLY COLDER MONDAY
MORNING WITH 30S EAST OF THE DIVIDE AND 20S WEST.
