Another one of the coolest guys around is Steve Martin.  He just happens to be one of my favorite inspirations, comedians, actors, and musicians (guy can play a banjo with the best of them!  In fact, he used to hang out with John McEuen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.)

In 2009, Steve released his first all-music album, The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo, to critical acclaim and grand reviews.  The album would win Steve a Grammy for "Best Bluegrass Album" in 2010.

On the heels of that success, Steve is following up by releasing a new album called Red Bird Alert. One of the highlights is a live recording with a Bluegrass spin, of King Tut; a classic comedy song that Steve first recorded in 1978 for his record A Wild and Crazy Guy. He's currently out promoting the new songs right now, and I would feel remiss if I didn't show you some killer Steve Martin clips.

First one is Steve tearing up some banjo with the likes of Bela Fleck, Tony Trischka, and others on Lettermen.  Next, Steve performing his classic King Tut on Saturday Night Live.
