Summer hours for the Adult Learning Center at Casper College, which provides adult basic education and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction, have been announced.

From May 26 through June 25 the center will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ESL instruction will be held on Tuesdays from 9-10:30 a.m. and again from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The center will reopen on Tuesday, July 7 and will be open every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and again on Thursdays from 1:30-7:30 p.m. through Thursday, July 30. There will be no ESL instruction during this second session.

All those pursuing a high school equivalency certificate (HiSET) are required to attend a new student orientation. Two summer orientation dates are available: Tuesday, May 26 or Tuesday, June 2 both days at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The center is closed on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and the weekends. The center will reopen for the fall semester on Monday, Aug. 24.

The center offers free assistance and instruction to out-of-school adult students, 16 years old and older, in reading, writing, science, social studies, and math in order to reach their educational and employment goals. All programs offered at the center, which is an open-entry, open-exit program, are free of charge.
