Come and try out the lifelong sport of tennis! The Casper Recreation Center’s second session of tennis classes for ages 5 -14 begins the week of July 21. Youth classes for all levels are held at Beverly Tennis courts in the mornings and will be taught by Jayde Parmely, certified as Recreational coach through the United States Tennis Association.

The 10 & Under Tennis program developed by the USTA tailors equipment and courts to a child’s size so they develop skills and have fun right from the start. Classes for ages 5-6 meet on Tuesday/Thursday from 10:00 am-10:45 am and ages 7-10 meet on Monday/Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 am.

Level 1 classes are an intensive skill building level for the older students, ages 10-14, who have never had lessons before. Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00-9:55 am.

Level 2 classes for ages 8 & up will meet Monday through Thursday from 10:50 am-12:00 pm. This class is for the player who has taken at least one session of beginning lessons and has permission of the instructor.

Students can bring their own racquets or use one of the Rec Center’s and 1 can of new balls, high altitude if available.

Don’t delay--class sizes are limited, so register today! For more information on individual classes and registration fees, please call the Casper Recreation Center at 235-8383, stop by at 1801 E. 4th Street or check on line at www.activecasper.com.
