It just wouldn't be fair week without a few thunderstorms. Yesterday's storm caused some damage in Paradise Valley.

Tuesday, July 10th 2018 a strong evening thunderstorm blew through the Casper area. The storm seemed to impact the west side of Casper more severely, particularly Paradise Valley. The storm did not last long, but it packed a mighty punch.

Novella Marvel sent these videos and photos of the storm and the damage caused by it at her in-laws home on the PV Golf Course. As you can see from the photos below, one tree was basically split in two by the strong winds. At first glance, it looked as if it was a lightning strike, but Marvel confirmed the dark spot was from tree rot and not a lightning strike. The video above shows the powerful wind hurling branches and debris across the golf course.

No damage to structures or injuries have been reported.
