The National Weather Service has issued an Air Quality Alert for much of Wyoming, including Natrona County. This in effect until 1 PM on Wednesday.

Casper's airport is hosting training today

Well I just wanted to remind you that it's all still out there and it's as beautiful as ever.

With much of the Mountain West in flames, Casper and other parts of Wyoming are experiencing the fall out in the form of smoke. And, while the National Weather Service has issued smoke advisories for the extreme northwestern portions of the state, Casper has not been issued such a warning...

The alert will be in place from midnight to noon Thursday

Carbon dioxide alarms have been installed throughout the school to alert staff of any high readings and then move students away from problem areas.

The health alert, issued by the Wyoming Air Quality Division and relayed by the National Weather Service, is set to remain in effect until 6 p.m.

The EPA and National Weather Service are warning residents of Wyoming to be cautious of unhealthy air quality because of the amount of smoke in the air. This includes the cities of Casper, Cheyenne and Laramie, as well as others.

There are over 70-thousand people in Wyoming affected with asthma, COPD, or lung cancer. Thankfully, the air is one of the cleanest in the U.S.
