It could be an up-tempo game tonight, as the Wyoming Cowboys host the Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational.

The Wyoming Cowboys won their first postseason game since 2013 with a 91-81 victory over Eastern Washington in the first round of the 2017 CBI Wednesday night in Laramie.

Western Michigan's David Brown buried a right corner 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds left that tied the game at 59 and forced overtime. Then the Broncos out-scored the Pokes 16-8 in the extra session to advance on to the CBI semifinals.

Nathan Sobey buried a 3-pointer from the deep left corner off a pass from Josh Adams at the buzzer, and the Wyoming Cowboys topped the Lehigh Mountain Hawks 67-66 in the first round of the CBI Tuesday night at the Arena-Auditorium. The Pokes rallied from a 7-point deficit with five minutes left and closed the game on a 10-2 run for the stunning victory.

The University of Wyoming men's basketball team has earned a second-straight postseason berth for just the 11th time in program history, as the Cowboys accepted an invitation on Sunday to play in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) presented by Buick.
