There is a fire in Evansville tonight. There are multiple agencies on the scene.
Dispatch said the fire knocked down a power line on Fifth and King street.
A wildfire is currently spreading east of Casper, near the Geary Dome Road area, past Evansville in Natrona County. Emergency personnel are currently on scene and are beginning evacuations of the area.
"There are two little boys who use these mowers to help the community by mowing lawns for our elderly and disabled residents," the social media post stated.
The Casper Police Department recently announced that the officers involved in a March 2022 standoff in Natrona County that resulted in the death of a suspect were found justified in their actions.
At first, details of the suspect's death were not released, but now Natrona County Coroner James Whipps has announced that Clutter died from a bullet wound to the chest that was not self-inflicted.
The Natrona County Sheriff's Office announced that their Volunteer Search & Rescue team responded to a call, shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, regarding a missing juvenile in the area of Santa Fe Circle and Cole Creek Road in Evansville, Wyoming.
"Over the course of 18 hours, trained crisis negotiators used a multitude of tactics in an attempt to peacefully resolve the situation," the NCSO wrote. "During the incident, there was exchange of gunfire between the armed barricaded subject and law enforcement."
A man claiming to be the father of the suspect in Friday night and Saturday morning's standoff with local law enforcement has reached out via social media to both apologize to and thank officers for how they handled that tragic situation.
