Keith Urban is officially the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry family. Urban’s induction happened over the weekend (Saturday, April 21) in an emotional ceremony that included special performances by Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, and a surprise video congrats from Brad Paisley, who was unable to make it (in person) to Urban’s special evening.

The release of ‘For You’ as Keith Urban‘s new single seems loaded with trepidation. Typically (but certainly not always) an artist will release a single, make a video and then perform it at an awards show. With ‘For You’ the order was jumbled, perhaps indicating that Urban’s team wasn’t sure how the song would be received by fans and radio.
Keith Urban‘s fans may have been disappointed when the ‘For You’ singer had to postpone his annual All for the Hall benefit concert due to vocal cord surgery. Though the concert was originally set to take place mid-January, Urban’s vocal rest caused him to reschedule the annual Country Music Hall of Fame fundraiser for tonight, April 10. And while fans had to wait three months for the event, Urban went out of his way this morning to make it well worth their while.

After having vocal cord surgery at the end of last year, Keith Urban went on three weeks of extremely difficult vocal rest, during which time he couldn’t speak, sneeze, cough or communicate with his young daughters, who didn’t understand why their dad was silent. But now, on the other size of the trying process, Urban says he feels like a football player in his 40s who was given the knees of a 20-year-old.
