Longtime duet partners Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are on the same ballot for induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Both are nominated in the Songwriter/Artists category, but only one can be inducted. There’s no guarantee either will be picked, however.

Ronnie Dunn has been an active Facebook and Twitter user in recent months, especially now more than ever with the presidential race taking place. While Dunn hasn’t flat out said who he is pulling for to be the next president, he does say enough to get his fans buzzing.
Ronnie Dunn made quite a lasting impression at his ‘Green Nights’ benefit concert Saturday night at Nashville’s historic Franklin Theatre. Halfway through the Brooks and Dunn hit ‘Ain’t Nothin’ ‘Bout You,’ Dunn and his fans were interrupted by the blaring of the venue’s fire alarms. Though the country star and his band finished their song, they did heed the warning to exit the stage until the venue could be deemed safe and fireless.
We know what Ronnie Dunn is thankful for at Thanksgiving 2011: the news that he’s expecting his first grandchild! Dunn told Kickin’ Country 100.5, albeit offhandedly, that he’s awaiting the arrival of a new family member and that he already knows it’s a boy.

July 21, 2011 According to our friends at AOL's theboot.com, there are only three songs on Ronnie Dunn's self-titled solo album that the legendary vocalist didn't write himself. So Jamie Floyd, Peter Sallis and Phillip LaRue certainly know how lucky they are that their song, 'Once,' made the cut.
Country singer Ronnie Dunn – one half of superduo Brooks & Dunn – talked with Taste of Country a bit last week about musicians that influenced him. Among Dunn’s more interesting recent influences: “I love Harrison’s slide guitar on ‘Something,’” the singer told Taste of Country.
Dunn has of course been impactful in his own wide-ranging way, and the wild diversity of Brooks & Dunn covers on YouTube are a pretty-great sample of his influence. June 8, 2011 The legendary country duo that was Brooks & Dunn "retired" back in 2009, but the famed band's ex-members Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are still keeping busy.
Brooks is working on a new album and filming a western called 'To Kill a Memory' with "Boots On" singer Randy Houser. Dunn has a new album out and a hit single with 'Bleed Red,' and he'll be touring the nation solo for the next few months.
