The images we've been seeing and the stories we continue to hear are nothing short of mind-numbing.  In the wake of the cataclysmic  disaster that Japan is faced with, we truly cherish any good news that we can report. That lead us to Hiromitsu Shinkawa.  Hiromitsu was just rescued after spending two days at sea; floating on the roof of his home, which just happened to be 10 miles out.

It's day two for a Japan reeling from one of the biggest earthquakes in recorded history, and an equally powerful  tsunami.  Today brought yet another earthquake and more aftershocks to the region, plus the threat of a nuclear reactor meltdown following an explosion at the plant.

The biggest earthquake on record to hit Japan has caused widespread destruction across the country. A 10-meter high tsunami, triggered by the tremor, has swept inland in many places swamping everything in its path.
