With high pressure still firmly in place, temperatures will stay very warm to hot across the state.  High temperatures will be in the lower 80s in the higher elevations up to the 90s on the plains.  It will not really cool down much at night either with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s in the mountains to only the 60s in the lower elevations.

There will be a handful of isolated thunderstorms developing later today mainly in and around the mountains and in the south and east.  Tuesday looks to hold better chances for thunderstorms.  Daytime heating will combine with moisture coming up from the south and a weather disturbance from the west to allow for more thunderstorms to form.
