The current weather pattern consisting of a very large, strong ridge of high pressure will not be taking its grip off the state for the next several days.  Very warm to hot temperatures will continue to blanket the state with highs in the 80s to near 100 degrees or better.

The wind is expected to pick up later today and tonight, especially in central and southern Wyoming, where southwest winds will gust to 30 mph at times.  This wind, the hot temperatures and low relative humidity will continue to lead to very high and extreme fire dangers across the state.  Most of the state is under either a Red Flag Warning or Fire Weather Watch through Tuesday evening.  Please use extreme caution.

Beneficial moisture is still going to be very hard to come by over the next few days.  Only a few isolated, gusty thunderstorms are expected in the east and north late today and Tuesday.
