It's interesting that what we once referred to as 'reality television,' and openly mocked with our friends, is now some of the highest rated programming out there.  It's certainly been a winner for country music stars like John Rich (1 of 3 men left on Celebrity Apprentice) and Blake Shelton, who is competing to take a new musician under his wing on the new NBC show, The Voice.

Now we have to give 'props' to The Judds for getting 1.7 million viewers to tune in to their aptly titled docu-series on the Oprah Winfrey Network and becoming the highest rated premiere on the new channel. (aside from launch week)

Naomi and Wynonna were also the #1 social media trend for cable during the two-hour premiere episode.  "Hundreds of viewers" logged on to their computers for a live, online chat during the broadcast.

Last Sunday night featured the second installment where Naomi attempts to sort out painful memories of childhood abuse and whether or not to speak out with 'those closest to her.' (might as well, you told the camera.)  We also get to know Wy's new boyfriend a little better.  His name is 'Cactus,' and he's the drummer for '9os hit makers, Highway 101 (I'm sold!)

The Judds airs Sunday nights on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Have you tuned in yet?
