The Nuggets got a little payback on the Suns last night with a 108 - 93 victory in Phoenix. The Suns are 1 of 3 teams this season that have handed the Nuggets a loss at home. Starting center Kosta Koufos led the Nuggets out the gate by scoring the first 13 points. Kosta ended with a double double on 10 of 11 shooting, giving him a new career high 22 points & 10 rebounds, not to mention an assist on a sweet lob to Corey Brewer who had 19 points off the bench. Team backbone Ty Lawson had 20 points, vice not scoring in the first quarter.

The Nuggets had 74 points in the paint compared to only 32 from the Suns. Phoenix however managed to keep it close though most of the first 3 quarters with excellent 3 point shooting. But the turnovers, plus the post game of the Nuggets was just too much for them to handle.

With last nights win, Denver's streak is now at 9, for the second time this season. The Nuggets hope to further extend the streak by defeating the New York Knicks as they travel to the Mile High City to do battle Wednesday, March 13th. With a plethora of former Nuggets on their squad (Carmelo Anthony, JR Smith, Raymond Felton, Kenyon Martin & Marcus Cambry) this should prove to be an interesting match-up.
