21 Day Fix –Day 3

As many of you know, I was very successful on the Ideal Protein Diet.  I lost over 65 pounds! I’m not proud to admit it, but slowly that weight has been creeping back on. I promised myself that I would not buy bigger clothes, so it’s time to do something about it now! So, I have decided to do the 21 day fix. I am going to share my experience with you from day to day during the entire duration of this adventure!
So, today is day three of my 21 Day Fix!! (I’ll tell you more about the program daily)

The main focus of the 21 Day Fix is portion control of healthy foods.
The plan also comes with the workout videos…. I will workout every day for 21 days.

You are encouraged to use Shakeology on this program, and after only 2 days, I am really finding it difficult to swallow, literally.  I can't get past it's bitter taste, but like I said, it is recommended, not required.  So, today I am going to just do an additional protein instead of the shake and see how I feel.

Day 3 workout was good but tough, I still find myself doing the modified version for some of it!   I’m  still sore, but not too bad!  Water helps you with sore muscles, it also helps you feel full so you are not feeling hungry all the time.  And hydration is so very important.  Our bodies get confused when we are not hydrated and you often times will feel hungry when you are actually just thirsty.  So, I make it a point to drink no less than 64oz of water per day.  At first, it will seem difficult and you'll make many trips to the bathroom, but even within a few days, your body will get more and more used to it and you'll actually begin craving water if you get off track.

I like to use a food diary…. It really helps you stay on track, as long as you are honest and write your food intake down right before or after you consume it. Otherwise, you may forget something, or may not remember the amount of something, etc.
I can't emphasize enough how important it is to prepare your meals in advance, especially if you're always on the go like I am! It's so easy for me to grab a burger at the baseball park, or a hot dog at the football game and so on and so on!  If I don't prepare my healthy choices in advance,  that leads to more unhealthy choices along the way.  I am not saying you aren't ever allowed to indulge on some of your favorite foods, but when it becomes habit, that's when it becomes a problem.
Some of you are probably great at meal planning…. you workout with passion… you are awesome at eating healthy foods in healthy portions. But I am not, I get off track easily! But with a little help from the 21 Day Fix and some encouragement from my friends and family, I know I’ll be back on track in no time!
So this is my 21 day journey. Day three is complete and I'm feeling pretty good!  On to Day 4!
