Last year the Wyoming State Fair brought to Wyoming a couple up and comers in the form of Brantley Gilbert and Hunter Hayes. This year a full-fledged country star is coming to town.

The Wyoming State Fair announced yesterday that Trace Adkins, Grammy-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry, is set to perform at the Wyoming State Fair on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Wyoming State Fair Grandstands.

Since 1996 Trace Adkins has entertained his fans with songs from 12 albums like "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk”,"Til The Last Shot's Fired","You're Gonna Miss This" and "Every Light In The House". Adkins is a television personality, actor, author, spokesman for the Wounded Warrior Program, the American Red Cross and has performed seven USO Tours.

James Goodrich, director of the Wyoming State Fair said,

“Trace Adkins is one of the most talented, dynamic and recognizable acts in country music today, We’re excited to continue the momentum we built over the last couple years by bringing one of country music’s biggest stars to the Wyoming State Fair.”

The Wyoming State Fair is a showcase of Wyoming agriculture and industries. Stationed in Douglas, Wyoming since 1905, the State Fair also represents Wyoming heritage and culture with a focus on education, competition, and entertainment for all ages. The 102nd Wyoming State Fair will be held August 9-16, 2014. For more information on the Wyoming State Fair, visit www.wystatefair.com.
