There's a certain sensation about putting on a brand new pair of socks that I can't describe. You can relive that experience for a long time with a ton of new socks.
Pro tip (mostly for guys): Buy all of the same kind of socks. That way you don't have to worry about matching them when doing laundry.

Get your car tuned up
This isn't that crazy, but the approach may be. This can make your car last so much longer. Just show up like you're getting your oil changed. It doesn't matter where, they're always going to up-sell you on something. They'll ask if you need new wipers, air filter, transmission flush. Whatever they offer, just say, "yes," and get your car all ready for summer.

Order 150 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
There is no rhyme or reason on why, nor do I need an explanation. I just think it'd be fun to have a giant kiddy-sized swimming pool of Chicken McNuggets to have at your next party. After buying 150 orders you should have some money left for drinks for everyone.

Fill a five-gallon garbage can of root beer float
This will require a lot of root beer and a lot of ice cream. With $1,000, I'm pretty sure this can be done. Fill a garbage can full of root beer float and have fun with it. You'll, no doubt, have to invite people over to help out. This would also be a great opportunity to use those ridiculously oversized wooden spoons that your grandma has hanging in her kitchen.

Show up at a bar and buy a drink for everyone
If you're looking at making a friend, they say money can't buy happiness, but I bet if you walked into a bar and bought everyone a drink, strangers and all, they'd treat you like royalty - at least for that night. Looking at doing a good deed that people will hopefully pay forward, treat someone else. No doubt they'll treat you in return at a later date.
