This idea is either genius in a way that I'm incapable of understanding, or the first step toward future therapy sessions.  Either way I guess you have to admire the entrepreneurial spirit involved.  In these trying economic times, it could soon become fashionable to rent the kid his or her Christmas toys.

What?!...you say!  CBS Boston has just reported on a brand new website called Toygaroo - a site that's being hailed as "the Netflix of toys."  For substantially less than what you'd pay for a new toy, Toygaroo will lease them to you.  They might just be toying around with us, but Paul and Pam are impressed with the results so far.

“It’s the ideal situation for the holiday time,” Paul said. “You can stuff toys under the tree for under 50 bucks. If you were out there buying them, there’s just no way you could do that.”

With Toygaroo, you select a plan that works for you, choose jr.'s toys and then simply wait.  Every month or so, a new package will arrive.  Pricing starts at $24.99 a month for a box of four toys.  Sounds like Christmas twelve months out of the year to us!  It remains to be seen if you'll actually save money, and hopefully your little one doesn't have major control issues.

There are already a few skeptics that aren't too happy about the idea of sharing toys in such a way.  The company assures everyone, however, that all returns are "carefully sanitized and re-sealed in plastic before they are shipped to a new home."
