Wikipedia’s English Website To Go Dark Tomorrow

Do you use Wikipedia on a regular basis?  Have kids who are working on reports for school and need Wikipedia for reference? You might want to schedule time today to look up and print out what you might need for tomorrow. 

Wikipedia's English language version website is planning to go dark for 24 hours on Wednesday in protest of anti-piracy legislation under consideration in Congress, the foundation behind the popular online encyclopedia said in a statement yesterday.

The Wikimedia foundation said, "If passed, this legislation will harm the free and open Internet and bring about new tools for censorship of international websites inside the United States."

The anti-piracy legislation is designed to halt the sale of pirated U.S. products outside the U.S. and is supported by the film and music industry. However, critics say it could infringe on free speech and hurt the tech industry.
