The prolonged period of warmer, drier weather recently enjoyed by Wyomingites is set to come to an end late Sunday into Monday.

K2 Radio Meteorologist Don Day of Dayweather says snow and much colder temperatures will make for icy conditions statewide, impacting travel on the mountain passes of I-25 and I-80, as well as other roads across Wyoming.

Interstate 80 will see a high impact from the storm, while I-25 and I-90 should see a moderate impact.

Western Wyoming, of course, will be first to see the change, probably with rain and snow showers Sunday afternoon and evening.

Sunday night into Monday morning will see poor travel conditions on I-80 from the Nebraska border to Rock Spring, with snow, ice and areas of blowing snow. Conditions will be particularly poor from Cheyenne to Rawlins.

Interstate 25 from the Colorado border through Casper will also experience poor conditions.

I-90 from Montana's border to the South Dakota line will also see areas of snow, but Day says amounts will be lighter. Slick spots should be expected on I-90, as well as on I-25 from Casper to Buffalo.
