The match up between the Colorado Buffallos and the University of Wyoming Cowboys has been an exciting and growing rivalry in college basketball. Tomorrow that rivalry will continue and the newly remolded Dome of Doom. The showdown between the University of Wyoming men's basketball team and Colorado should be no different. The Cowboys (2-0) host the Buffs (2-0) in the Arena-Auditorium at 4 p.m. MT in an early-season clash with postseason implications on the line. Head coach Larry Shyatt and Wyoming enter the weekend with a 2-0 mark after a 78-70 victory over Northern Colorado last Sunday and a 61-46 downing of Western State last Tuesday. Senior forwards Larry Nance Jr. and Derek Cooke Jr. were the stars of the show against Western State. Nance, the MW preseason Player of the Year, posted 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Cooke contributed 13 points and a block. Senior guard Charles Hankerson Jr. added 11 points, six assists and four rebounds. Nance is averaging 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds to 11.5 points for Cooke and Hankerson. Cooke has yet to miss a field goal this season, going a perfect 11-of-11 in the first two contests, while Hankerson is averaging a team-high 5.5 assists per game. Junior guard Josh Adams is second on the team at 3.5 assists and adds 8.0 points, while senior guard Riley Grabau rounds out UW's probable starters at 6.5 points and 2.5 assists. Grabau is a perfect 6-of-6 at the free throw line this season. The game can be heard of on AM 1030 KTWO at 4pm.
