Boaters wanting to get a jump on the 2015 boating season can take care of their upcoming boat registration now for next year’s boating season. No boats were registered during October as the Game and Fish closed out the 2014 watercraft registration season and prepared for the upcoming 2015 season.

Registration is required of any boat with a motor, electric or internal combustion. No registration is required of craft without motors. Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) stickers are required for all watercraft prior to launching on any waters in Wyoming. The only exception is for inflatable watercraft 10 feet or less.

Boats registered now for 2015 are also good for the remainder of 2014 as well. Larissa Voss who oversees boat registration for the Game and Fish said boaters can renew their registration online at wgfd.wyo.gov or at regional WGFD offices throughout the state.

As with last year, boaters can get a combination sticker that takes care of their boat registration and AIS decal with one sticker if they are purchased at the same time. Combination stickers are $25 for one year or $70 for three years.
