Wyoming has done well in some of the in-depth WalletHub studies ranking the 50 states. This is not one of them. With Earth Day April 22, the Cowboy State isn't eco-friendly - at #50.

Straight up, here is how “green” Wyoming is not.

43rd – Percentage of Recycled Municipal Solid Waste
47th – Energy Consumption per Capita
48th – Gasoline Consumption per Capita
47th – Soil Quality
1st --- Air Quality … (Even with that figured in, Wyoming is still overall 50th.)

The most green state is Vermont, followed by Massachussetts and Oregon 3rd.

If you link into WalletHub’s opening statements (here), you see a devout belief in global warming. If you are proud to be called a denier, you may absolutely love these words from the late George Carlin.

“We’re so self-important. Everybody’s gonna save something now. Save the trees. Save the bees. Save the whales. ... And the greatest arrogance of all, save the planet. … We haven’t learned how to care for one another and we’re gonna save the planet? I’m getting tired of that.  I’m tired of Earth Day. I’m tired of these self-righteous environmentalists … who think the only thing wrong with this country is there aren’t enough bicycle paths. …”

Unlike the above, this video is not edited for language. (Well, it is George Carlin.)
