The Wyoming Land Trust is excited to announce the dates for this summer's WLT nature camps. Recollecting on the previous year's successes, the trust has added an additional date this year in an effort to "help ensure as many Wyoming kids as possible have the chance to experience first hand all of the wildlife, natural resources and fun activities the WLT camps offer."

The Wyoming Land Trust will be offering five camps in Natrona, Campbell, Laramie, Sublette, and Sweetwater counties. The week-long camps cost $200 per attendee, and are open to children in 1st through 6th grades. Lunches, activities, and transportation to and from attractions, are all included. Special scholarship opportunities are an option for families, too. The camps will be held:

  • June 18th through June 22nd in Sublette County
  • June 25th through June 29th in Sweetwater County
  • July 9th through July 13th in Laramie County
  • July 30th through August 3rd in Campbell County
  • August 13th through August 17th in Natrona County

"Our children won't care about the Wyoming we love, if they don't understand it," said Kathryn Boswell, Director of Public Education and Outreach. "That is why the WLT designed Wyoming Nature Camps to focus on ALL of Wyoming's natural resources: energy, agriculture, wildlife, and water, using a science and place-based curriculum to interest, encourage and develop our next generation of land stewards - the children who will inherit the state's wealth of natural resources."
