A 60-year-old Wyoming resident died Thursday night in a head-on collision in Crook County.

Investigators say shortly before 10 p.m., Terry O'Donnell was westbound in a 1997 Chevrolet pickup on Old Sundance Highway. Near milepost eight, an eastbound 2004 Ford F-150 crossed the center line into O'Donnell's lane, and the two pickups collided head-on.

Despite wearing a seat belt, O'Donnell died at the scene.

Two people who were in the Ford were taken by ambulance to Gillette, where they were treated for multiple injuries.

In a crash report from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, investigators say it is unclear why the Ford crossed the center line of the highway.

Weather was reported to be clear, and road conditions were listed as dry at the time of the crash. Speed and alcohol use are being investigated as contributing factors.
