We pride ourselves by being different in Wyoming. That's true in a new statistic I found about how many men versus women live here.

If the U.S. Census website is to be believed, Wyoming is one of the few states to have more men than women. Congrats guys, we are a dude kingdom according to this map.

If you check out the surrounding states, you'll notice that only North Dakota has a lower percentage of women than Wyoming. Yikes. If you've been to North Dakota and/or watched the movie "Fargo", you know it's not a good idea to go near a chipper-shredder there no matter if you're a guy or a girl.

It's not like it's a big difference. 51% guys versus 49% ladies isn't that bad.

Why don't more women live here? There's no logical reason I can think of. Jordan Yates on the Quora website (answering the question "What is living in Wyoming like?") made a great case for why Casper (and Wyoming in general) is so awesome. She mentions the friendly folks here and our great sense of fashion. Ahem.
