A new survey on DUI related crimes from WalletHub.com suggests that Wyoming is pretty lenient on impaired drivers.

When it comes to ranking each state based on driving under the influence "strictness," Wyoming ranks 37th overall, making it more toward the lenient side. Wyoming ranked 40th in the nation in DUI criminal penalties, and 32nd in DUI prevention.

Drunk driving was to blame for 29% of motor vehicle fatalities in 2015, and claims roughly 10,000 lives per year. Over the last twenty years however, DUI's are down by roughly 20%.

The states with the strictest DUI enforcement, in order are: Arizona, Georgia, Alaska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. The states that are the most lenient toward DUI enforcement are, in order: South Dakota, District of Columbia, Ohio, North Dakota, and Idaho.
