A Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper remains on administrative leave with pay as the Cheyenne Police Department conducts an investigation.

Trooper Robert King was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 17 after police told the Patrol about the investigation, which involves King, according to a news release from the Patrol.

King's placement on leave is in accordance with Patrol policy. He has been a trooper since 2008.

The Patrol is assisting the Cheyenne Police Department with the investigation.

The Patrol's Professional Standards and Conduct Division is also conducting an administrative internal investigation.

No further details have been released, and the Patrol cannot comment on details of the investigation, as the Cheyenne Police Department is the primary investigating agency.

We will update this story when we have further details.
