The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for north central Natrona County and south central Johnson County from 4:58 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. today.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Hole In The Wall, 18 miles southwest of Kaycee, moving north at 30 mph, according to the Riverton Office of the National Weather Service.

Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter.

Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed, and damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur.

Tree damage is likely.

This dangerous storm will be near Hole In The Wall about 5:10 p.m.

Other locations affected by this tornadic thunderstorm include Willow Creek School and Barnum.

Take these precautionary measures:

  • Take cover now!
  • Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
  • Avoid windows.
  • If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closets substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
