The Netflix original movie Bird Box has been trending pretty steadily since it's release late last month (December 21st, 2018), but now there is a dangerous online challenge inspired by it as well.

*Small Spoiler Alert Ahead*

In my personal opinion, the anti-climatic ending really takes away from how good the rest of the film is. Regardless, Netflix released a warning via their official Twitter account about people doing the #BirdBoxChallenge that read:

Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.

In case you haven't seen one, the following is an example of the #BirdBoxChallenge:

While it can be quite hilarious, some of the ones people have been posting on social media are highly dangerous. You may remember the world wide injuries that were reported from people participating in the Drake-inspired KeKe Challenge a.k.a. the In My Feelings Challenge. While there were some pretty cool Casper versions (see: here), it could still be considered dangerous.

With all that being said Casperites, be careful out there! We're not saying don't have fun, but some of these viral challenges have ended in severe injuries. Is your life worth the fame? We certainly hope you answer that question with a resounding "no"!
