A man was arrested in Casper with more than $2,200 in his pocket and a bullet-resistant vest in his car.

Police also found .40 caliber ammunition, cocaine and methamphetamine in a car driven by Isaiah Wallace during a traffic stop Sunday evening. Wallace was arrested for felony charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. He faces up to 40 years in prison and $50,000 in fines if convicted.

He is also charged with three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

According to court documents, Casper police stopped Wallace near the intersection of Poplar and Collins in Casper for having a broken taillight.

When asked for ID, Wallace produced his driver's license and parole agent's business card. He told a Casper police officer that he was on parole for "a lot of things."

Officers then searched Wallace and found a pill bottle and two baggies containing cocaine. They also found $2,248 rolled up in Wallace's pants pocket.

A search of Wallace's car yielded several baggies containing methamphetamine, unknown pills, cocaine and a digital scale covered in white powder.

Police also found a bullet-resistant vest in Wallace's car.

During the stop, officers interviewed Wallace's passenger, identified as Alyssa Jurado, who said she had been dating Wallace for a month and was not aware of any illegal drugs in his car. Jurado was arrested on an unrelated warrant.

CPD officers contacted Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation special agents to assist with the investigation. A DCI special agent interviewed a confidential source who reported seeing Wallace carrying firearms and selling large amounts of drugs.

When special agents tested the powder on the scale, it yielded a presumptive positive result for cocaine.

A child traveling in the car with Wallace and Jurado was taken into protective custody.

Wallace made his initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court Monday afternoon. His bond was set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing date has not yet been set.
