June 1 is traditionally the first safe day to plant without the worry of frost in the Rocky Mountain region. That’s why the groups involved in the community garden plots at the North Casper Seeds of Sharing Community Garden have picked that day to start renting the spots and planting the plants.

Sunday, June 1, from 1pm - 4pm at 900 St. John Street is the time and place to get your community garden plot. All plots come with a drip system for watering, access to a compost bin and a shed with garden tools. Starter plants will be available for purchase for $1 each and include tomatoes, peppers, and kale.

The garden was started in partnership with Rotoract and Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church and is now under the management of Wyoming Food for Thought Project.

To find out how to get involved you are invited to attend June 1, or call 307-337-1703 or email info@wyfftp.org.
