Conference On Adoption And Foster Care In Casper April 5th
On Saturday April 5th The Journey of Adoption & Foster Care conference will take place at Casper College in Casper, Wyoming from 8:30-4:30.
Thisis Wyoming’s 4th annual adoption and foster care conference. There will be a number of speakers with extensive professional experience and personal testimony.
Stephanie Fast will be the keynote speaker this year. Abandoned at the age of four to wander the war-torn Korean countryside, Stephanie Fast has a remarkable story of survival.
Three specialists will host the first track designed for those with children already in the home called “Parenting the Hurt Child.”
There will be a second track for those interested in adoption. Infertility, What is a Homestudy, How Do We Afford an Adoption?, and Adopting an Older or Special Needs Child are educational workshops of this track.
Finally, there is a track for those interested in foster care. The workshop titles for this third track are: Could My Family Provide Foster Care?, A Walk Through a Foster Case, and Working With the Biological Family.
