As a mom with five children, there are many things I wish I could outsource...

Changing diapers, helping tweens with common core math homework, and putting away laundry are the first few things that come to mind.

When I heard that Casper area Walmarts now offer grocery pickup services I was equally concerned and excited.

I've used Club Pickup with Sam's Club several times when I was recovering from surgery. I loved the convenience of being able to order my weekly groceries online, but there were still two things that made the experience meh.

1. You still had to park in the parking lot, walk in, pay for your groceries and then push the heavy cart out to your car to load up your items. #firstworldproblems

2. If they didn't have an item you ordered in stock, it wasn't included in your cart. Not a big deal when it's granola bars, more of an issue when you thought you'd have enough fresh fruit for two weeks...and they only gave you a bag of apples.

Word on the street is that Walmart Pickup has solved these two issues. They bring your groceries out to your car AND you have the option to have them substitute a similar item if they don't have what you ordered in stock (stay tuned for a blog post about those).

Now that I'm officially back to being a working mom, I think I'm going to have to try this. Added bonus: I can see how it would help prevent all those impulse buys (like leggings and unhealthy snacks) and allow you to stick to your weekly shopping budget.

I have heard some people think this is a sign that we have hit a new a low as a society.

Personally, I think it's just yet another way we are using our time more productively.

Have you tried the new Walmart Pickup...or do you think it's pure laziness?!
