
Elbadra Advances to Track and Field National Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Salma Elbadra has qualified for the 2024 NCAA Track and Field National Championships in the 1500M running a 4:15.80 in the finals of the West Regionals on Saturday.

Elbadra is one of two freshman coming out of the event from the West and will be the lone Cowgirl to represent the University of Wyoming at the pinnacle of the NCAA season.
2024 Championships
Elbadra will be joined by the 12 best from the West and the 12 best from the East.
The 2024 NCAA Track and Field National Championships set to take place in Eugene, Ore., from Hayward Field.
The Semifinals are slated to be held on Thursday June 6th with the Finals set for Saturday June 8th.
The 2024 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships will air on the ESPN family of networks.
Thursday will be on ESPN2 with Saturday airing on ESPN.
2024 Outdoor Season for Elbadra
Mountain West Champion in the 1500.
Third place in the Mountain West in the 800.
School record holder in the 800.
No. 2 at Wyoming in the 1500.
The 2024 NCAA West First Rounds
Elbadra was one of 10 University of Wyoming student athletes to represent the Cowboys and Cowgirls at the West First Rounds. Last season Kareem Mersal and Katelyn Mitchem represented the Brown & Gold at the National Championships.
