Wyoming High School Cross Country Scoreboard: Oct. 10-12, 2024
It is the last week of the regular season for cross-country teams and athletes in Wyoming. Six meets are in the state with Casper, Mountain View, and Powell hosting on Thursday. Cheyenne, Green River, and Moorcroft have events on Friday. The only team scheduled to compete out of state is Jackson. Conference cross-country meets are on Oct. 17 or 18. The state championships are two weeks from this Saturday in Cheyenne.

Thursday, Oct. 10:
Glen Legler Invitational at Paradise Valley G.C. in Casper – Campbell County, Douglas, Glenrock, Natrona County, Thunder Basin.
NC's Ally Wheeler and Kalel Brubaker won the 3K races.
Mountain View Invitational at Fort Bridger Historic Site – Evanston, Lyman, Mountain View, Rock Springs, Star Valley.
McKynly Stephens won her home race in a 3200 distance at an even 12:00.00. Evanston won the girls' team title. Paul Baxter of Evanston won the boys' race at 9:56.00. The Buffalos grabbed the team crown at their event.
Pinnacle Bank Powell Invitational at Powell G.C. – Buffalo, Burlington, Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Riverton, Rocky Mountain, Sheridan, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Wind River, Worland.
Kinley Cooley of Powell won the girls' race by 43 seconds at 18:26.80. Cody won the girls' team title. Trajn Swalstad of Worland took 1st in the boys' division at 15:40.14 and won by 23 seconds. He led the Warriors to the team crown, as well.
Out-of-State:
Century Blake Stephens Invitational in Pocatello, ID – Jackson.
Jackson's Madison Antonino won the girls' race at 18:59.8 and led Jackson to a first-place finish in the team standings. Owen Schultheis of Jackson was 16th in the boys' race.
Friday, Oct. 11:
Leroy Sprague Invitational at Prairie View G.C. in Cheyenne – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Pine Bluffs, Rawlins, Rock River, Saratoga, Torrington, Wheatland, Wyoming Indian; out-of-state: Rapid City (SD) Stephens.
Maggie Madsen of East won on her home course. Laramie's Gideon Moore won the boys' race.
Girls Team Scores = Central 45, Rapid City Stephens 56, Kelly Walsh 74, Laramie 76, East 96, Wyoming Indian 179, Wheatland 197, Saratoga 230.
Boys Teams Scores = Kelly Walsh 41, Rapid City Stevens 55, East 65, Laramie 80, Central 146, Wyoming Indian 147, Rawlins 207, Pine Bluffs/Burns 216, Wheatland 234.
Green River Cross Country Invitational at Rolling Green G.C. in Green River – Ft. Washakie, Green River, Lander, Rock Springs; out-of-state: Manila (UT).
Aria Wheeler and William Maes of Rock Springs won the individual races.
Wolves Invite at Pine Haven G.C. near Moorcroft – Hulett, Moorcroft, Lusk, Newcastle, Sheridan, Sundance, Tongue River, Wright.
Aspen Bloom and Sam Cunningham of Newcastle won the individual titles.
Saturday, Oct. 12:
Nike Hole in the Wall XC Invitational in Marysville, WA
Star Valley's Jase Burton placed 7th at 14:59.2. Habtamu Wetzel ran 15:55.4 and took 56th.
