Wheatland senior Dylan Nelson will further his love of golf by having an opportunity to play at the collegiate level. Nelson has signed with Central Wyoming College in Riverton. As a senior last fall, Dylan tied for fourth at the Class 3A state championships in Rawlins. He fired a two-round total of 159. Nelson earned all-state honors for the first time in his prep career. Dylan also helped Wheatland win the Class 3A boys’ state championship. That was the sixth title in school history and first since 2016.

Nelson was a four-year letter-winner for Wheatland in golf. He played at the 3A state championships all four years in high school. He placed 36th as a junior and helped the Bulldogs finish third in the team standings. As a sophomore in 2022, Nelson took 25th place. He tied for 39th as a freshman in 2021.

Dylan joins teammates Brecken Sandlian and Isaac CdeBaca as new signees to the CWC program.
