Heat Advisory, Red Flag Warning Issued For Southeast Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the Natiional Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory and Red Flag Fire Warning for much of southeast Wyoming Today [July 12],
Cheyenne is included in both the heat advsory and Red Flag Warning. Laramie is included in the area covered by the Red Flag Warning, but not the Heat Advisory;
Details On Heat Advisory
The agency posted the following on the Heat Advisory:A Heat Advisory is in effect for eastern Laramie County, eastern Platte County, and Goshen County from noon Friday until 7pm. Temperatures in excess of 95F are likely in Laramie County, with temperatures in excess of 100F in Platte and Goshen counties. Drink plenty of water, stay out of the sun, and check up on your relatives and neighbors!
Red Flag Fire Warning
Greetings! Hot temperatures will be present again today, and a Heat Advisory is in effect from 12-7pm for portions of southeast Wyoming. Also, very dry conditions are expected for portions of Albany, Carbon, and Laramie County. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 10am-8pm today. Don't be the spark for fire weather, and take frequent water breaks if planning on being outdoors when it's hot!
