Wyoming Sheriff’s Office To Auction Off Cars, Bids Start At $100
The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office will auction off cars and a trailer on Tuesday, November 5.
That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.
The auction will be held at the Sheriff's Office at 50140B US Highway 191 South in Rock Springs.
The gates for the auction willopen at 9:30 a.m., and bidding begins at 10 a.m. according to the post.
What Vehicles Are Up For Auction?
The following cars and trailer will be up for bid:
- 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo (starting bid of $100);
- Homemade utility trailer (no VIN; starting bid of $100);
- 1999 Dodge Durango (has key; starting bid of $516);
According to the post
''Our agency occasionally sells abandoned property. After trying to locate the original owner(s), we post notices in public places and publish them in newspapers before the items are auctioned to the public per Wyoming law.
We have no history on any of these vehicles, and most auctioned vehicles have no keys. All vehicles are auctioned as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. We reserve the right to reject any or all bids.''
Only cash payments will be accepted for the cars, and they must be picked up by Friday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
