Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and a field of 91 professional as well as 6 amateur golfers will compete for the green jacket, when they tee off in one of the PGA's most prestigious golf tournaments on the tour.

Last weekend at the Houston Open, Mickelson posted a big win on his doubters who were knocking the lefty with comments - too old, too erratic, too long without a win. Well they can't say that any more. For years, Mickelson has used the PGA Spring tournaments as a tune-up for the Masters. With 3 green jackets hanging in his closet, and coming off a win, it looks like Phil's plan is working.
According to odds makers in Las Vegas (if you bet on golf, you have a serious problem. Seriously - who bets on Golf?), Lefty is the top dog with odds makers - at 6-1 odds going to the first tee of this years Masters tournament, Vegas likes Mickelson's chance at a repeat.
After watching some of the tournament this last weekend, I must say that I like his chances as well - a lot. It will all come down to whether or not Lefty carries over the sensational short game he showed-off in Houston. If it's on, Phil should repeat as the Masters Champion.
However Tiger Woods (who will tee off at 10-1 odds to win the Masters), spent last week practicing at the world renowned Augusta course. Afterward, spending his weekend playing golf in the Caribbean to prepare him for an attempt at winning his 5th green jacket.
Tiger said in an interview several days ago, that when his game is on (meaning his own game), that there is no one better on the course. As I watched Tiger's eyes and read between the lines, I could tell - El' Tigre - is quickly gaining his confidence and might be ready to break out once again as the worlds best golfer. A reign he enjoyed, up until all of the drama surrounding him took his focus off of golf and cast a shadow on his once thought to be flawless reputation.
Las Vegas Odds - on some of the worlds top golfers heading into this weeks Masters golf Tournament:
Lee Westwood - 14-1
Mick Watney - 16-1
Martin Kaymer - 20-1
Dustin Johnson - 20-1
Rory McIlroy - 25-1
Luke Donald - 25-1
Padraig Harrington - 25-1
Graeme McDowell - 33-1
Earnie Els - 33-1
Anthony Kim - 33-1
Ian Poulter - 33-1
As you can see, Las Vegas likes the chances of Phil and Tiger heading in to Augusta.
The 2011 Masters Championship will come down to the two or three players who are not afraid to take a risk and can pull off the shots necessary to reap the rewards. Regardless of who plays best on Sunday, with a field of young talented competitors and a couple of the worlds best on top of their game, you can bet this years Masters will be one to watch.
