If you have kids or grandchildren, you're in for a treat next month. "The Good Dinosaur", a new Disney - Pixar film set right here in the great state of Wyoming, will open in theaters across the country on Thanksgiving.

In the animated film, a dinosaur befriends a pre-historic young boy named Spot. Together, they set out on a series of epic adventures across the Cowboy State. The movie will feature several of Wyoming's most majestic landmarks, including the Tetons and the Oregon Buttes.

Pixar producers actually traveled to Wyoming twice in order to survey the landscapes for the movie. They also studied the history of the Apatosaurus, a dinosaur species that inhabited Wyoming over 150 million years ago.
