Parmalee’s Barry Knox has asked, and she said “Yes!” The bass player proposed to longtime girlfriend Kristin Joyner earlier this year, and the two are set to get married in 2016.

Joyner and Knox have been dating since at least 2010, according to photos on her Instagram page. In a post at the Parmalee Facebook page, Knox says she moved to Nashville with him. He says he proposed on her favorite ski slope in Virginia, getting down on one ski in the middle of a run to pop the question.

“I just set a date for October 15 of next year,” Knox tells Star Magazine.

“She's the coolest smartest most badass girl I've ever met,” he writes on Facebook. “She moved with me to Nashville and stuck by me through all the struggles and I know I couldn't have done it without her!”

“I love you KJ!”

Joyner is a freelance videographer in Nashville, who’s worked on content for Dolly Parton, Lee Brice, Hank Williams Jr. and more. She’s recently begun directing music videos, according to her website.

Knox is the cousin to Parmalee brothers Matt and Scott Thomas, with guitarist Josh McSwain (the only member currently married) rounding out the band. The group released the Feels Like Carolina album in 2013, and watched “Carolina” reach the top of the charts in 2014. “Close Your Eyes” also became a Top 5 hit, while their current single, “Already Callin’ You Mine,” has cracked the Top 20.

Parmalee also played Country Jam in 2015. They have shows in West Virginia and Maryland this weekend.
