The Casper College rodeo team will host the college’s 59th Annual Ropin’ and Riggin’ Days Rodeo April 25 through 27 at The Arena at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds.
The Casper College rodeo team competes in the Central Rocky Mountain Region, which includes teams from Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Teams set to compete include teams from Sheridan College, Gillette College, Laramie County Community College, Central Wyoming College, Eastern Wyoming College, the University of Wyoming, Colorado State University, Lamar Community College, Otero Junior College, United States Air Force Academy, Mesa State College, Northeastern Junior College, and Chadron State College.
The rodeo will feature three performances: Friday and Saturday evening at 7, with the final performance starting at noon on Sunday. In addition to the popular “Wild Ride” during Saturday night’s performance, the Casper College Agriculture Department faculty will be presented with a lease-free Toyota Tundra as part of the department’s being recognized as one of six programs nationwide to receive the National Association of Agricultural Educators Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Program Award.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for students, and $17 to see all three rodeos. Tickets can be purchased at The Arena box office the day of performance.
