A butt-naked Australian man who led cops on a 15 mile car chase ended up losing a battle with the deputies because he chose to fight them with a weapon that really sucked – a vacuum cleaner hose!

Michael Scott was initially stopped for driving over 100 miles per hour, and told his lawyers he fled the scene because of his "deep mistrust" of police. He led the pursuing cruiser to a McDonald's, where he knew there would be a video camera to record his arrest, then ended up having "a manic episode" that resulted in him hitting one of the cops on the scene with the hose – which he carried around to play as a musical instrument.

He pled guilty to more than 20 charges and was sentenced to 12 months in the canister. (The Courier)

A crook in Washington state had no reservations about making a reservation – for a repeat visit to one of his robbery victims.

A 15-year-old from the Seattle area was attempting to deposit some money at his bank's ATM when he was approached by an older man who grabbed him around the shoulder and informed him, "I want you to take money out of your account. If you don't, I will hurt you."

The freaked-out teen withdrew $160 and handed it over, thinking that would be the end of the ordeal, but the thug informed him that he'd have to return to the same machine the next day and cough up some more dough – or else have the robber show up at his house and hurt him.

The kid ended up cleaning the remaining 80 bucks out of his account, then going home to tell a relative what had happened. The smooth criminal remains at large. (KOMO)

A Romanian man ended up behind bars after he called cops to report a burglary ... at a house he was already in the middle of burglarizing!

Marius Ionescu was ransacking the home when he heard a loud noise and panicked, hiding under a bed and calling police to report the intruder. When the officers arrived at the address, they conducted a search and found just one person on the premises – Marius, still cowering in the bedroom.

A spokesperson for the police department in Benesti, where the crime occurred, said, "The noise he heard was probably just the family cat. He already has a criminal record for similar break-ins, and given his nervous disposition, he probably should look for another job." (Shortlist)
