The City of Casper will be sweeping streets in the North Casper, Riverwest and Paradise Valley neighborhoods from Monday, October 26th to Friday, October 30th. To help with street sweeping operations, the city is asking residents to voluntarily remove parked vehicles from the streets between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Vehicle removal allows sweepers to sweep from gutter line to gutter line; removing all dirt and leaves from gutters. If a resident is unable to move a vehicle, street sweepers will go around the vehicle.

Fall street sweeping helps prepare Casper for winter and spring storms. By removing dirt and leaves from the gutter, the city can help prevent neighborhood flooding caused by clogged storm drains. Sweeping also protects the North Platte River from contamination as stormwater drains directly into the river and is not treated.
