2014 Beartrap Summer Festival

Whether hula hooping, swinging, running, or playing with friends, the kids at Beartrap Summer Festival seem to be having a boatload of fun. We wanted to bottle that energy and light-heartedness the best we could. So we took as many photos of the kiddos (always asking parents if it was ok first...

Take a deep breath. Do you smell that? It's the smell of air. Rustic living. Trees. Dirt. Manly things. So it's no surprise that the rugged, masculinity of Casper Mountain brought about the best of the best in lumberjack-like, mountain-man-esque, bearded wonders...

Right outside the Family Area at Beartrap Summer Festival is a frisbee golf cage. There's a ton of discs sitting around for those who want to play the game---and these kiddos decided to burn off some energy by playing a fast-paced version. Despite the fact they flung the discs vertically, and were only a foot away, they weren't that bad...

Well, it might not be the most exciting of topics for the average bear, but for these young'uns at Beartrap Summer Festival, moulting happened to be a topic they knew and wanted to talk about. Jim and Samantha from Birdie Bayou in Casper brought out their parrots, big and small, to teach kids more about their feathered friends...

When Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes took the stage at the 2014 Beartrap Summer Festival, there was one guy who popped up to his feet and got down with his bad self. He was in such a good mood, dancing the night away, that the band even pointed him out multiple times during their performance...

Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes brought Beartrap Summer Festival 2014 to a close with a combination of percussion, strings and brass---saxophone and trumpet notes belted into the audience as the group performed for more than an hour and a half...

Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes belted out a rhythmic jazz with saxophones, guitars, bass and guitars Saturday night, as they took the stage as the last performance of the evening. Beartrap Summer Festival closed out the day with a group of festival goers dancing, eating, and generally having a good time...

This may be the only festival you attend this summer where your four-legged friend is just as welcome as your neighbor, kid, or spouse. Yep--Beartrap Summer Festival welcomes Fido.
